What key features and content in the website appeal to the audience of fans? Use evidence to support your ideas.
The key aspects that appeal to the audience is, if they are a male then by using the male gaze theory then we can see that she is most likely to appeal to a male audience through the use of the way that she is portrayed as an objectified image. We can see the idea that, as of the images above, that there are many audiences that she can appeal to. The female audience may also see her a strong female protagonist with the red potentially symbolism that of the vengeance of the misogynistic world.
We can also see in the second image that Katy Perry is being portrayed as strong female women. We see her being hit by a basketball, a sport typically associated with a more stereotypical male qualities which one could argue would be a most typical with the theory of Judith Butlers Queer theory which means that one should act their gender and one could argue that such an occurrence is shown here.

What key features of the website’s construction are new, innovative or interesting? Explain them in detail.
The website shows that Katy Perry is shown to be a new and a more eccentric image. The plain simplistic attitude towards her website, this is shown as the simple and effective attitude towards her brand audience. We see that she has the new releases at the top to subliminally show the audience her new brand and show off her new outfits. Such is her new video 365 which bellow is the shopping page of which we see the new lines of clothing that she has in store for her most devoted followers. Then in the bottom of the page, we see how she has that she is promoted with her tops which retail at approximately $45.00 USD which we then look at the social media tags of her Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Pintrest which makes us think that she has a rather large social media presence and a larger social audience with the tab bars used to show anybody else if they are interested in any other fan base presence can be seen in the top bars for those who are interested.
Based upon evidence from the website, what is the artist’s ‘brand’? How does the website promote that ‘brand’ to an audience?
The artist brand is that of commercialization and that mean that there are many forms of objectification that she is being subjected to. We see that she is being portrayed as an image of objectification and that she is being shown to the audience as an image and that she is being branded as a product because of the amount of merchandise that surrounds her leads to the idea that there are many different ways that one could possibly identify herself as. This is, she is shown to be in a more objectifying light, this is, that she is wearing less clothes while being in a box and this leads to the conclusion that she is wearing little meaning that she is being branded as 'sexy'.
We could also argue that she is being shown to be in the same light that one might consider to be that same as a brand. We can see this because she is shown in a form of makeup and lavish images meaning that it is most likely that she wishes for herself to be in the same sort of merchandising that others might contribute to other brands and that her website is delivered in the same way meaning that one might consider her to be of a similar style audience and a similar style way to her persona. Thus concluding that she is being branded as 'sexy' and' 'lavish' quality similar to how one might describe a brand.
